November has not

been a good blogging month.

i've had neither the time nor patience to sit down and write something worth reading.

December will be a better month!

i need to hurry up and finish some of the books i'm reading

-Screwtape Letters (only on the first chapter)

all by C.S. Lewis.. He's my favorite.

For christmas i asked for The Lord Of he Rings series and Harry Potter. Hopefully i can crack into those bad boys by the start of the new year. 

Also! i need to finish the first twighlight book before the movie goes out of theaters! i feel so left out being that i'm the only one in existance who hasnt read the silly book(s) yet!

ahhh, side note, i've never been able to just read one book at a time. i have to have a variety to chose from while reading or else i get bored. except with narnia... those books rock my world. i seriously cant put them down. It will be a sad day when i finish the last book. But hopefully i can stretch it out as long as possible! But yes, if you were wondering, that is why i'm juggling so many books at one time.

Hm, any suggestions on new books to add to my "must read" list?

New Slippers

My dad bought me new slippers.

There was something in my eye!

I didn't cry i promise.
Oh, silly emotions.

Today, one of the girls i used to mentor threw a bit of sass my way and of course i crumbled in to tears. It sucks seeing people take different paths in life, that used to be so close to you.

and slowly having to watch them turn into a different person, hurts.

But tonight,

As i was crying, i asked God why he'd place people in my life that I'd learn to love so much, if they were only going to be taken away and turn into someone else.

and he told me, because you're the only one who will cry over them. I gave you a burden so you'd never stop believing in who they can be. Your tears are meant for prayers not self pity.

Then i got mad.
Cried some more.
Then understood.

Burdens help me remember its not about me.
Thank you God.

I'm Trying

To not act off of how i feel and think before i actually do.
But Dear Lord! It is indeed easier said then done.
But well worth it.

Honest, if I'm emotionally driven I'll do things for personal gain and on conditional terms.
I want to be able to do things without being led by my emotions.

Instead, i want to be led by what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable.

I especially want to make sure I'm selfless and sincere in everything i do

I want to have the confidence in knowing I'm doing what is right without needing a feeling to confirm it is.

I don't want to love because i feel like it
but love, because He loved me first.

Also, I don't want love to be a feeling anymore,
but a state of being.

Ok, not really. Book reading and laziness has been getting the best of me.


Also, everyone and their mother is getting married!
My mentor just told me last night she's engaged.
Last month, my good friend got married.
I was browsing Myspace and all my old friends are married and have kids!

Best Dressed

"The Agenda:"

1. Carve Pumpkin

2. Take Pictures of Pumpkin (above)
3. Bake/Decorate Cookies (Yes, i actually decorated them)

4. Finish sewing our black sheep/white sheep costumes (Came out cuter then the picture can show)

5. Go skate in our costumes (couldn't it was raining)
6. Throw giant pumpkin off of bridge and see it splode. (Undecided)
7. Go to party. (I won best costume!)

8. Lastly, Make a video while doing all of this (kinda, i'll put it up on my TRV vlog)

Overall today was an amazing day. I had a late start due to the extreme lack of sleep BUT had so much fun doing everything. i was quite surprised when they announced that me and my friend (in the picture above) had won "best costume" because honestly we looked quite silly but i guess since our costumes were homemade we had some favor.
